Fleet of Well-Maintained Trucks specifically designed for hauling scrap metal safely and efficiently allows us to move customer scrap when they want it moved. We have roll-off containers of various sizes to meet the needs of almost all customers.
Barge Loading/Unloading Dock
1200’ of dock space with 10’ draft on the Dickinson Bayou for loading and unloading scrap metal from barges as well as scraping end of life barges. Shipping scrap by barge allows Kodiak access to multiple markets nationwide to ensure Kodiak the most competitive price for their material, allowing us to give customers a very completive return on their scrap. Having the capability to unload scrap by barge often saves customers money on shipping and handling cost to get the scrap to our facility. Also we are able to accept pieces of scrap that are too large to ship by truck.
Material Handling Equipment
Several late model Sennebogen material handlers equipped with grapples and magnets efficiently handle scrap material through the processing process. Kodiak also has a range of forklifts and loaders to handle scrap as needed.
Shearing/Baling
Kodiak utilizes a Harris 1100 ton, 625 hp stationary shear to process up to 250tons per day of scrap steel. Kodiak also has several mobile shears to add to the processing capabilities.
Lifting Capability
165 ton American Crane capability of lifting up to 100,000 lbs safely from Truck or barge.
